Administrative Staff

At CFOL, Administrative staff play a key role in providing support to all the departments and management team. More specifically, Administrative staff may be responsible for performing the following functions:

  • Operate the telephone switchboard to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information, and taking messages.
  • Greet visitors and direct or escort them to their destinations.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and coordinate outgoing mail and courier packages.
  • Maintain company contact information (e.g. phone list).
  • Maintain office and kitchen supplies.
  • Enter data into the computer system.
  • Organize electronic and/or paper files.
  • Distribute and coordinate the collection of paperwork for various processes.
  • Scan, review, and distribute invoices for approval.
  • Fold and stuff cheques and invoices.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for staff and reconcile to the account.
  • Order food and beverages for company events.

Administrative staff generally require a High School diploma and office experience in an oil and gas company has been considered an asset. Administrative staff must also be skilled in organizing, interpersonal communication, customer service, and building relationships.

Administrative staff in this role works closely with other team members in the office.
