Land
Administrator
At CFOL, Land Administrators
play a key role in maintaining contracts, mineral
leases, surface leases, and well documentation
by processing documents and agreements, updating
Divisions of Interest, and landowner records.
More specifically, a Land Administrator may
be responsible for performing the following
functions:
- Enter contract and mineral
information into the land computer system
and ensure the Company’s interest is
documented accurately.
- Co-ordinate payment
of mineral and surface lease rentals and code
third party invoices.
- Co-ordinate Crown Sale
acquisition process.
- Enter surface lease
information into the land computer system
and ensure that all crossings, road use agreements
and related documents are executed and initial
consideration payments are made.
- Update the computer
system as it relates to name changes, amalgamations,
etc. and maintain land files.
- Review lease expiry
reports and prepare lease continuation requests
and grouping applications.
- Prepare documentation
as required for transfers, assignments, quit
claims, acquisitions and dispositions.
- Liaise with surface
and mineral lease owners, partners and other
groups to provide information and answer queries.
- Coordinate activities
with the department manager and other department
staff.
- Work with other departments
to ensure processes are efficient and meeting
internal standards.
Land Administrators generally
require a Certificate in Land Administration
and industry experience has been considered
an asset. Land Administrators must also be skilled
in analysis, problem solving, decision-making,
planning, organizing, meeting deadlines, multi-tasking,
attention to detail, and communication. Experience
with computer applications is essential.
A Land Administrator in
this role works closely with other team members
in the office. Depending on the position, they
may be required to perform work outside of regular
office hours. |
